The Canadian Population Society is a scientific association that seeks to improve knowledge and understanding about the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of human population. It seeks to promote the study and development of the science of demography in both its empirical and theoretical aspects. On an annual basis, this society meets to foster interest in, and the interchange of ideas on population, among professional and other interested persons working in the field of population studies.
The association actively welcomes new members, including academics, graduate students, government scientists and administrators, or any other persons interested in demography and its many applications.
